Satyameba Jayate (The motto of the college) at the bottom, a book, a burning
lyamp, a wheel (all in the middle) and Nilagiri Women's College, (the name
of the institute) on the top''Satyameba Jayat'' signifies the triumph of truth
over falsehood. The book in the crest gives the real pleasure to a distressed heart.
As a store-house of knowledge, it paves us the right way to face the challenges of
life. The living flame of 'the deep' signs to drive out the darkness of ignorance
from the core of our heart. The symbol of 'Wheel' inscribed on the emblem
represents 'Time' which is moving on and - It inspires us to make the best use
of time, ''Nilagiri Women's Colleg'' on the top declares the name of the
institute.
